Smart Kids Cambodia is a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting the educational development of children and adults in Siem Reap, Cambodia.
This journey began in August 2023 when Elia, the founder of Smart Kids Cambodia, visited Cambodia for the first time and met Chheak, the founder of The Community School of Hope. Located in Siem Reap, this school offers English language classes and traditional Cambodian dance to over 70 students, guided by Chheak and a team of passionate teachers.
In August 2024, a serendipitous meeting with Kea, the founder of The Children’s Dream School, further fueled the vision of Smart Kids Cambodia. Situated in the village of Kampong Kdei, an hour’s drive from Siem Reap, this school provides English and computer education to over 100 students. Founded in 2013, The Children’s Dream School once served over 200 students before the pandemic, and continues to thrive with the support of its dedicated teachers and the community.
At Smart Kids Cambodia, we believe that education is the key to transforming lives. Through our work with both schools, we aim to provide students with the tools they need to achieve their dreams and break the cycle of poverty.
As we move forward in our mission, we are reminded of the words: "To grow, we must sometimes leave behind what no longer serves us."
