Smart Kids Cambodia is a non-profit organization born from a deep love for Cambodia and a powerful belief in the life-changing impact of education. Our mission is to support the educational journey of children in Siem Reap and surrounding areas — one student, one dream at a time.
This story began in August 2023, when Elia first traveled through Southeast Asia and arrived in Cambodia — a place that instantly captured his heart. The warmth of its people, the richness of its culture, and the quiet resilience he witnessed left an unforgettable mark.
Fate brought Elia together with Chheak, the inspiring founder of The Community School of Hope, nestled just five minutes from the majestic Angkor Wat. There, over 70 children gather to learn English and connect with their cultural roots through traditional Cambodian dance. Behind every lesson is a small team of dedicated teachers, guided by Chheak’s unwavering commitment to his community.
A year later, in August 2024, a series of fortunate events led Elia to meet with an inspiring man named Kea, the founder of The Children’s Dream School. Located in the rural village of Kampong Kdei, the school offers English and computer education to over 100 children — a vital bridge to opportunities otherwise out of reach. Before the pandemic, the school served more than 400 students, and thanks to the continued devotion of its teachers and local supporters, it remains a beacon of hope.
At Smart Kids Cambodia, we believe education is not just about learning — it’s about opening doors and empowering children to shape their own futures. Through our partnership with these two incredible schools, we strive to equip students with the tools, skills, and confidence they need to dream boldly and build a brighter tomorrow.
